Welcome to a spring on Öland! We choose to call this hopeful, brightening time the blooming season. If you knew what sprouts on Öland when spring approaches! The blooming season does not follow any fixed dates, it follows the shifts of nature. Surely it gives a hopeful feeling when the first colors appear in nature's grey-brown palette? This is when the blooming season begins. The shelves of the shops are filled with spring novelties, the outdoor terraces open up and the restaurants plan menus with the taste of spring onions and fresh herbs. As nature is colored to end the blooming season with the crowning glory: the Orchids.
