Hike in the World Heritage, Gösslundaleden

Gösslundaleden is an approx. 7 km long, paved hiking loop that starts and ends at the parking lot opposite the entrance to Gösslunda village.

The hike goes across the extensive alvar, which exhibits great diversity in the form of dry and wet meadows, gravel alvars and a large outcrop area with karst (cracks of varying depth in the limestone). The trail follows a 900 meter long so-called pig's ridge, a bedrock ridge created through a geological process. You pass two larger burial mounds. Next to a spring there is a stone table with stone bumblebees to sit on, a lovely place for a coffee break. Part of the trail follows a very old route that once ran between Resmo and Triberga. The hiking loop is connected with trails both north and south. At the car park there are information boards, a toilet and tables with benches.
