Walking trail for children in the world heritage

Join the calf Sol-Blända, the cow Spen-Åsa and the bull Stor-Alvar on a hike near Penåsa, Kastlösa.

The Kalmar county museum has developed a hiking trail aimed at children in the world heritage of southern Öland. Along the trail there are stories, missions and information that present the world heritage and its unique environments in an exciting, playful and innovative way. Pia-Lena Björnlund at the county museum has written the texts and created the illustrations.

The hiking trail is two kilometers long and starts at the old track guard's hut at the rest area in Penåsa. Along the trail there are signs with illustrations and simple facts about the places that are passed. The hiker can also follow an exciting story about the calf Sol-Blända and her friends. The story continues at each sign and is hidden behind a QR code. Between the signs, you can take the opportunity to look for pictures of the figures that are part of the story, they are hidden here and there, high and low. Maybe you manage to find all eight, both at the rest area and between the signs on the hiking trail? At the rest area, there are also hidden QR codes around the ranger's plot. Behind each QR code hides a small mission.
