I am a self-taught stone sculptor with a background as a peace scientist and journalist. Through my sculptures I want to continue to explore and tell about the times we live in and the conflicts that we as humans constantly experience both within and outside ourselves.
The Öland limestone has long been despised by sculptors for its fragility, but I see it as an invitation to co-create with the stone, for those who take the time to listen and get to know the stone. With a loving hand, I peel off layer after layer and together with the stone, the sculpture takes shape.
During the fall of 2024, a longing grew to also display my artwork more publicly, and in the spring of 2025, two of my hand-carved sculptures in Öland limestone were accepted into Liljevalch's spring salon.
