Stenkusten – a food tour in the landscape of the twilight hours

Here you will find the Nordics' only scrap mill, an abandoned quarry with exciting stories about Öland's limestone and the sea. The hike starts from Jordhamn, which is located on the coast a few kilometers north of Sandvik in northwestern Öland.
With a knowledgeable and committed guide, you walk in this fascinating landscape where stories about the area's natural and cultural history are interspersed with delicacies from the gastronomic Öland. The food is laid out and served in nature. There will be charcuterie, bean salad, hummus and other delicacies. Everything is locally produced.

Food walking is a healthy and enriching experience for body and soul. Feel the scents, enjoy the high sky and the proximity to the sea.

Hiking: approx. 3 km starting at the scrub mill in Jordhamn.
Time required: approx. 3 hours including food stop
Clothing: comfortable hiking shoes / gym shoes / sturdy sandals and clothing according to the weather.
Bring: own water bottle if it's hot outside.
The terrain is quite easy to hike in.
Dogs can be brought along if they are kept on a leash.
