St. Brita's Chapel

At Kapelludden, four kilometers east of Bredsättra church, are the ruins of St. Brita's chapel, or Långöre chapel as it is also called.

The chapel was located at the medieval trading post Sikavarp. The chapel is believed to have been built in the early or mid-1200th century and was abandoned at the latest in the mid-1500th century, after which it fell into disrepair. The chapel consisted of a chancel with a sacristy and a nave, built of limestone.
