Sollidens Castle
Sollidens Slott is the Royal Family's summer palace on Öland. In addition to the unique castle park, the visitor also encounters high-class art in an outdoor environment.
In Solliden's Slottspark you will find two open air exhibitions this year. In the English park, we show unique glass art from five of Orrefors Kosta Boda's designers. It is Bertil Vallien, Johan Röing, Ellen Ehk Åkesson, Åsa Jungnelius and Markus Åkesson who participate. In our stone section we also show
a painting exhibition by Markus Åkesson. All under the open sky.
In Slottsparken you will also find a large number of works that are permanently located at Solliden. There are many Italian sculptures that Queen Victoria brought with her from her travels, but also works by Carl Milles, Hans Hedberg, JN Byström, Maria Miesenberger, Peter Frie and others.
