Forest bath in the Mittlandsskogen
Skogsbad offers you deeper contact with the peculiar nature of the Midtlandsskogen. A forest created by thousands of years of grazing and farming by the people of Öland.
During a forest bath, you move slowly, or are completely still. The silence and the calm pace during a forest bath allow your body and your emotions to perceive all the small nuances of the forest and nature. You give the body and mind the opportunity to create contact with nature. The Japanese name for forest bathing is Shinrin-Yoku (森林浴) meaning “take in the forest atmosphere with all your senses”
Many people experience stress in everyday life. Almost all of your waking hours you are connected and your brain is fed with new information and new impressions. The brain is at full throttle to be able to act. Finding ways to recover can be difficult.
Invest in yourself with a sensual walk in the Midland Forest. Give your mind and body a break from stress and worry. Give yourself the opportunity to reconnect with nature and the forest.
The guided forest bath can increase the effect of the stay in the forest. The guide's voice makes it harder for your own thoughts to wander off. Forest bathing makes it easier to relax and be in the moment. It becomes easier to focus on the sensory impressions through the invitations. They become a reminder to see, hear, smell and feel.

Join us for a guided forest bath with Caroline Kindblom Landtmanson. She is a certified forest bathing guide (SNFTI Scandinavian Nature and Forest Therapy Institute), certified nature guide, Öland guide and biologist. She has 17 years of experience guiding individuals and groups in Öland's nature.
We offer forest bathing on several occasions during the year. Just as the seasons change, so does the theme of each forest bath. Each forest bath therefore becomes unique. You can come along on a single one or book more.
