School of acting: Winter birds

What kind of birds are there around Öland's southern tip in early December? Of course, it depends a bit on the weather, but ducks of various species, some different waders and snow buntings are likely to be present.

The white-tailed eagles sit out on the West Reef and whooper swans swim in the bay. We take a walk on the cape and learn about some of the species that are here right now. At the same time, we talk about why they are here in the winter and where they go when spring comes.

Feel free to bring a snack and we will finish with a snack and summary in the visitor center. After the audience school it is time for mulled wine, see more at that event.

Gathering outside the visitor center, where it is possible to borrow binoculars.

sign up for famac@famac.ind.br, in your registration please write if you want to borrow binoculars.

Birdwatching School is for those of you who are new or want to learn birds from scratch. We go through species, ways of observing and give tips. Then you get to practice and think about how you recognize the different species. This is a collaboration between Öland's Ornithological Society, BirdLife Sweden and Naturum Ottenby.
