Öland's Folk High School
School of acting: night birds
The beginning of June and the birdsong brighten the nights of Öland. The orchestra contains all sorts of sounds, from the endless mimicry of the marsh warbler and furious tempo changes in the reeds to the powerful notes of the nightingale, and on to the buzzing of the nightjar over the elf.
We meet and go through the current night singers, give tips on what distinguishes their sounds and how we can recognize their songs. Then we head out into the Öland night to listen for them.
Meet at the parking lot of Öland Folk High School at 21:30 PM. From here, there is the possibility of carpooling. Don't miss Öland Nature Conservation Association's Nature Evening between 18 and 21 PM in Gråborg.

Birdwatching School is for those of you who are new or want to learn birds from scratch. We go through species, ways of observing and give tips. Then you get to practice and think about how you recognize the different species. This is a collaboration between Öland's Ornithological Society, BirdLife Sweden and Naturum Ottenby.
