Ribes leather
Leather products manufactured in ribe's leather workshop on Öland.
We at Ribes are proud of our roots and the history that the company has built over the years. It all started in 1976 in Gislaved by my parents Bengt and Ulla-Britt Ripheden. The company then moved to Öland in 1977 and expanded in 1982, which resulted in a move to Karlevi in southern Öland. Manufacturing continued there until 2008, when the company underwent a generational change and I, Annette Ripheden, took over responsibility for the operation.
As a family business, Ribes has always been characterized by a love for craftsmanship and a desire to offer quality products to our customers. Our products are primarily made from Swedish leather from Tärnsjö Garveri, one of the few tanneries in the world that uses vegetable tanning with bark.
