Sandvik's mill is one of the world's largest windmills, and without comparison the largest in the Nordic region. It is of the Dutch type. About 20 Dutch are today preserved on Öland.
Sandvik's mill was originally built in 1856 on the outskirts of Vimmerby. It is a well-visited tourist attraction. There is a cozy restaurant on the ground floor. The other 4 floors are preserved as a museum. In the areas around the mill, there is a cafeteria, kiosk, mini golf courses, boule, bowling alley, airfield, grill, pizzeria, home bakery and large areas for other activities.
