Penåsa Ödeby
Penåsa, which today is a deserted village out on Stora Alvaret, was taken up as a new home in 1779. The village then consisted of two farms which together had 3/32 of the mantal, which means that the farms were very small
In 1844, Penåsa ceased to be a homestead, one farm was sold to Kastlösa villagers and the other to Bjärby. The last users out here were Israel Olofsson and Jonas Andersson. Today there are the foundations of a residential building which consisted of one room and a large kitchen. There are also fruit trees and berry bushes and the ruins of a stone cellar.
