Öland fiction before Margit Friberg

The author Margit Friberg lived from 1904 to 1997. She wrote 10 novels and 2 non-fiction books. All of her books are set on Öland, preferably in the south, as she was born in Gåsesten near Öland's Smedby. The Margit Friberg Society was formed in 2002 with the aim of highlighting the author and her works, so that they would not be forgotten. The society has its collections in a special room in the Smedby parish house.
