Öland's largest Iron Age village
Experience the traces of what has been called Öland's Golden Age
Join archaeologist and excavation leader Dr. Ludvig Papmehl-Dufay to the fascinating remains of the stormannagården in Gamla Skogsby, a short walk from Station Linné. The well-preserved traces in the landscape are now better exposed than in a very long time, providing a unique opportunity to see the ancient traces in the landscape. Learn the basics of reading the Iron Age landscape and hear Ludvig talk about the results of Linnaeus University's multi-year excavations at the site, and what they can tell us about Öland during the Migration Period.
