New Confectionery
The new Conditoriet listed in the White Guide is located in central Borgholm and is a confectionary that offers guests a 50s feel!
Here you can find original furnishings from the 1950s, everything for that nice, homely feel. All you have to do is slip into the comfortable sofas and enjoy home-baked cakes, buns, tarts, sandwiches, etc.
The new Conditoriet are listed in the White Guide under the Good Class classification. The classification means A likeable overall experience where the kitchen performs a well-executed cooking. The wording reads:

Step into Nya Konditoriet on a Saturday and you are already met on the worn marble staircase by the murmur of the guests. Hope you find a free seat - this is a popular place and, without competition, Umeå's oldest patisserie. In 2017, NK - as it is popularly called - turns 90 years old. The main decor has a distinct 1940s character which is maintained with care. We happily dare to say that you will not be disappointed regardless of what you choose for the coffee. The long-fermented cinnamon knot, tender berry pie or creamy zuleikat tart offer rich flavors that linger. Really good espresso coffee with nice crema."
