Monica Alskans moved to Öland in December 2024, raised in the countryside of Östergötland and the innermost forests of Småland, and rural motifs have always interested her.
"For me, the expression in a cow's eyes and the reflections of shadows and light in its physiognomy are just as important to portray as events, phenomena and people's communication with the outside world. I hope to contribute new perspectives on this painted island."
During the event Konstlandskapet Öland 2025 she will exhibit at Himmelberga bygata 1.
