LinksGolf Öland, Grönhögen
A challenging course with a lot of water, a lot of wind and a lot of bunkers. The course architect is former golf professional and Småland native Pierre Fulke, who has designed the course based on a Scottish model. A beautiful course right on the coast of southern Öland that is worth playing.
LinksGolf Öland is unique. Pierre Fulke has laid out 18 holes that are a harmonious blend of strategy and beauty. The importance of aesthetics is felt wherever you are on the course. The holes are laid out correctly and the obstacles are strategically placed and the course is easy and pleasant to walk. LinksGolf Öland is a real links course such as Lundin, Leven or Scotscraig. If you are 100 meters from the green on a "normal" course, you can only hit one club. On a links course you can hit five different clubs and you can hit them in several different ways.
The 13th hole has been chosen as one of Sweden's 18 most beautiful holes, has features from Carnoustie, the bunkers, as well as from Muirfield with Hogan's Alley. However, everything is reversed. Ninety turf bunkers and a double green enhance the character of the links. The course changes model year every year through improvement works that beautify and reinforce the course's slogan, "LinksGolf is GolfPassion".
