Karl Heinz Sauer / Blue Bullet - gallery and silversmith
Nobleman Karl Heinz Sauer is one of Sweden's foremost silversmiths and in his forge he produces and displays his own designed silver works. Blå Kulan is both a gallery and a silversmith and with a focus on high quality!
In the Blå Kulans smithy, Karl Heinz Sauer works primarily with his corpus works for which he is known (corpus means body and here we mean bowls, boxes, jugs and candlesticks). Karl Heinz corpus works can be found at, among others, the National Museum and the Rhöska Museum, at the Royal Palace, in many churches, in the King's private collection and at the Japanese Emperor's, as well as with collectors in Sweden and has exhibited around the world. Karl Heinz was originally trained as a jeweler and he possesses great knowledge of this, even though today he mainly fills his days with silversmithing.
In the Blå Kulan gallery, Karl Heinz Sauer shows his own designed and handmade corpus as well as his jewelry art. The goldsmith Karl Heinz Sauer is happy to accept assignments such as reworking and/or new production of gold jewelry. Custom work in all silversmithing is also accepted. He is happy to collaborate with other artists in glass (Micke Johansson) and ceramics (Ellen Ehk and Elna Karin Helgesson). Karl Heinz has his very own design, strict but still playful.
In part of Blå Kulan's premises there is now also a small upholstery workshop, which is run by Margareta Sauer Nordensson, where older quality chairs are made like new! (non-upholstered furniture)
