Öland is usually at its best when autumn takes over while summer lingers on. The last weekend in September is the biggest event of the autumn season, Öland's Harvest Festival, which covers all of Öland and attracts thousands of visitors every year. A large number of cultural experiences are mixed with flea markets, farm shops and food markets. Buy pumpkins, potatoes, beans and onions - everything that the Öland pantry has to offer.

During the harvest festival, a wide range of events and experiences are offered to suit the whole family – from markets and food experiences to art, culture and children's activities. Here we recommend some of them from southern, central and northern Öland! 

 

southern Öland:
flavors, art and historical excursions

Södra Öland offers a feast for all the senses! On The Paradise Workshop celebrate the season's harvest with beautiful crafts and art, inspired by Öland's nature and culture. Food lovers should not miss The cheese festival in Mörbylånga, where you can taste some of the best cheeses the region has to offer. Eriksöre village street opens up during the harvest festival, here are painters, potters, photographers and various artisans such as wood carvers and blacksmiths.

For those interested in history, it awaits Eketorp castle, a fascinating place where you can travel back in time and experience life in the Middle Ages. Oldergaarden in Triberga has as many as 15 exhibitors showcasing arts, crafts and local products. A walk through Bläsinge village street in eastern Öland gives you a charming experience of traditional Öland houses and crafts.

Well, we'll tell you! The autumn season is unequivocally crowned by Öland's Harvest Festival, which is one of the country's largest and most well-attended of its kind. On the last weekend in September, this comprehensive event is organized from north to south. The islanders create the best of most of what they have to do with festive atmosphere and gather to celebrate the local community and harvest work.

A large number of cultural experiences are mixed with flea markets, farm shops and food markets, pumpkins, potatoes, beans and onions, yes, everything that the Öland pantry has to offer.
