Halltorp's garden
One of the most well-known nature reserves on Öland is Halltorp's meadow. Halltorp's meadow has one of the highest concentrations of red-listed species in Sweden. It is mainly all the rare fungi and insects that contributed to this. Marked hiking trails also make the area easy to visit.
Halltorp nature reserve has one of Northern Europe's most valuable broadleaf forests and the area is one of the country's most species-rich. The old rough oaks in the reserve are habitat for our three largest beetles; large oak buck, oak ox and leatherback beetle.
