Welcome to Öland and any of the towns and villages to take part in the Walborg Fair evening and celebrate spring with a spring speech, choral singing and of course the May bonfire. The list of Walborg celebrations is continuously updated until the weekend. 

 

Walpurgisday celebrations from Grönhögen in the south to Byxelkrok in the north

Gronhogen
Gathering at the harbor square at 20.00:XNUMX p.m. Then a torchlight procession to Cemen's harbor where the fire is lit. The public choir sings in the spring.

Eketorp castle
The gates to Eketorp Castle open at 17.00:XNUMX p.m. The evening will feature a torchlight procession, a spring speech by municipal councilor Michael Granstedt, as well as music and singing. The celebration ends with a joint offering ceremony.

Degerhamn
At Alunvallen, the celebration starts at 19.00:XNUMX PM with a torchlight procession, spring speeches, refreshments and a raffle. The rescue services will show off their vehicles.

City of Victory
Walpurgisday service at 19.00:20.30 p.m., followed by coffee and a raffle from the local history association. The bonfire will be lit at Seby cemetery at approximately XNUMX:XNUMX p.m., depending on the weather. Per-Olof Pehrsson will give a spring speech. 

Hulterstad
The event begins in Hulterstadsgården at 19.00:20.00 p.m. Spring speech, singing and coffee. Then a torchlight procession to the bonfire, which will be lit at XNUMX:XNUMX p.m. Kiosk with sweets and sausages.

Castless
Gathering at Kastlösa School at 19.00:XNUMX PM, followed by a torchlight procession to the bonfire along the road towards Penåsa. Emma Rydnér, World Heritage Coordinator, will give a spring speech. Hot drinks will be available.

Mörbylånga
Celebration in the harbor starting at 20.00:XNUMX p.m. when the torchlight procession departs from the square. Mörbylånga GoIF leads the procession and sells torches. Lions Club sells sausages and coffee and arranges chocolate wheels. Eva Åkerstedt gives a speech, music by Maja Arthursson and Christer Svensson.

remus
Gathering from 19.00:XNUMX PM at the three mills in southern Resmo. Torchlight procession to the bonfire. Johanna Mo, crime writer, gives a speech and the women's choir Hysteria sings under the direction of Saga Björling and Lisa Johansson.

Wickleby
Celebration at Vickleby Alvar at 18.30:XNUMX p.m., parking along Vickleby Alvargata. Thomas Hård af Segerstad will give a spring speech and the A capella choir will sing.

Farm town
Celebration at the site west of the village hall from 19.00:XNUMX p.m. Speeches, songs and fire. Sausages with bread are for sale.

The ferry town
Granudden from 18.00:18.20. "One o seven band" with Therese Wahlgren performs. Torchlight procession departs from Trossen at XNUMX:XNUMX and is followed by a spring speech by Dave Karlsson. Awarding of cultural scholarships.

Alguts room
At the gravel pit next to the church, a spring speech will be given by Tindra Englund, and the Friday Choir and the Songbirds will perform spring songs. Young people from the sports club will light the bonfire after a torchlight procession, at approximately 19.30:XNUMX p.m.

Visitors are welcomed to Tornlunden at 19.00:20.00 p.m. The fire is lit at XNUMX:XNUMX p.m. Peter Danielsson, local history consultant, will give a spring speech. Raffles, coffee and sausages will be offered.

Fenceless
Gather at the school at 18.00:19.00 PM for the torchlight procession. The fire will be lit at XNUMX:XNUMX PM. Catering will be available on site.

Räpplinge
At Äpplerum's alvar, the fire is lit at 20.30:XNUMX p.m. The spontaneous choir sings spring songs. Sausage grilling on site.

Broaden
Traditional celebration at Leifs höla on Gamla Skedstadsgatan at 20.00:XNUMX p.m. Grilled sausages and drinks served. Parking at Sockenstugan.

borgholm
Gathering takes place at Höjden's parking lot at 19.30:20.30 p.m. Stephen Budge plays spring music and Kjell Gehammar gives a speech. The bonfire is lit at XNUMX:XNUMX p.m. Coffee and hot dogs with bread will be sold. Parking is in designated areas, with a voluntary fee for Lions' charitable work.

Köpingsvik
A torchlight procession departs from the tented warehouse parking lot at approximately 19.45:20.00 p.m., with the bonfire lit around 5:XNUMX p.m. A spring speech is given and grade XNUMX from Köping's school sells lottery tickets, sausages and coffee.

Sandvik
The torchlight procession will start at 19.30:20.00 p.m. and the bonfire will be lit at XNUMX:XNUMX p.m. Johan Theorin will give a speech and Chorus Mixtus will perform songs.

Source
At the village hall from 18.30:20.00 p.m. – coffee, sausages and raffle. Then a torchlight procession to the bonfire, which will be lit around XNUMX:XNUMX p.m.

In Böda harbour the bonfire will be lit at 19.00:XNUMX p.m. Sale of sausages with bread and drinks.

Trouser hook
