Ölands Bezoeksnäring AB drivs is a municipal company owned by Borgholm municipality and Mörbylånga municipality. Our goal is to get more people to experience the island and to discover what many of us already know - that Öland is a unique place on earth. Description of tasks:
As a tourist information officer, you inform and inspire visitors and residents who want to experience Öland, both over the counter at our tourist offices in Färjestaden and Borgholm as well as via phone, email and chat. The job also includes booking accommodation and activities, selling Öland handicrafts and souvenirs, updating digital and analog visitor information, distribution of materials and common tasks at a reception.
The work includes internal training about Öland as well as service and booking. We also offer an education where we go around Öland by bus and visit various places of interest and it comes with a guide who tells us about Öland during the trip. In addition to that, we also have internal training in our booking system citybreak.
Qualifications:
Good computer skills
Language skills:
- Swedish in speech and writing
- English in speech and writing
B driver's license
Merit:
Good local knowledge of Öland
Previous experience in the service industry or the hospitality industry
Post-secondary education in tourism or media and communication.
Language skills:
- German in speech and writing

Form of employment: Hourly paid seasonal employment
Period: 2 positions May-August, 5 positions June-August
Working hours: 75-100% Scheduled working hours divided into daytime and weekends.
