Elisabeth Lindstedt

The village in Sydöland has become one of my most important motifs.

Öland has been inside me since early childhood moods, sounds, sights and smells.

The South Island village has become one of my most pressing subjects. Central to my works is often the village, an investigation of structures, angles, lines, volumes and shapes. it is an investigation of a past, memory in relation to a present and the search for the wordless. I go out very often
from similar motifs where the actual method of carrying out the work is almost always embodied through painting.

Member of Södra Öland's Artists' Guild.
