1. The Enchanted Forest

Auf der Landzunge gegenben von Långe Erik lies the Trollskogen, an old, meadow-like conifer forest that lives up to its name. Die schmalen, gewundenen Wege führen zu stumpfen Eichen und windgepeitschten Kiefern. Tief im Wald verbirgt sich das alte Trollleken, das auf fast 900 Jahre alt geschätzig wird.

2. Trollskogen Nature Center

Experience the exhibition for the whole family in the newly established nature, where the boundaries between outside and inside are changed. Here the whole family can learn more about Öland's Geology, Vegetation, Animals and History.

Wanderwege im verzauberten Wald

Ab dem Naturum Trollskogen gibt es vier verschieden, farblich markierte Wanderwege in einer märchenhaften Umgebung, which are both suitable for young and old. Drei Wege are accessible (1 km, 1,3 km and 3,3 km are paved with Steinmehl). Read more about the paths in Trollskogen.

3. The Lighthouse of Long Erik

Am nördlichen Kap von Öland und am großen Fundament gibt es seit dem 17. Jahrhundert einen Leuchtturm. The current lighthouse, Långe Erik, was built in 1844–1845. Sie ist 32 Meter hoch und aus Kalkstein gebaut. While Teilen des Sommers ist es möglich, in den Leuchtturm zu gehen und auf den Balkon zu galangen, wo man von einer grandestagtien Aussicht wird welcome.

4. Neptuni Fields

The place was named in 1741 by Carl Linnaeus during his Olandreise after the Roman sea god Neptun. On the almost completely vegetation-free Kieselböschungen, the Blue Elderflower blooms in summer.

5. The trouser hook

This coastal community is a popular destination for summer visits. Entlang der Promenade im Hafen liegen die ehemaligen Fischerhütten nebeneinander, die heute Restaurants und Geschäfte herbergen. This creates a real pedestrian street next to the quay, where the holiday boats are located. In the summer months the Öland-Linie MS Solsund Kalmarsund runs between Byxelkrok and Oskarshamn. Von hier aus kann im Sommer auch Tagesausflüge mit dem Boot zur Insel Blå Jungfrun unternehmen.

6. Blue Jungfrau

The mythical Insel Blå Jungfrun, one of Sweden's 30 National Parks, lies in the Kalmar Sound between Oskarshamn and Öland. Hier finden Sie windgepeitschte Kiefern, üppige Lubwälder und impressive Granite klippen, die vom Meer zu aufregenden Formen poliert wurden. The highest point of the island, 86 meters above the sea level, is accessible via a hiking trail. Der Weg ist 3,3 km lang und dauert in gemächlichem Tempo etwa eine Stunde. Entlang des Wanderwegs gibt es mehrere spannende Orte zu besuchen, wie zwei Höhlen, "Die Kirche" und "Die Kammer der Jungfrau". At several places around the beaches of the island, you can see the traces of the quarry, which took place before the island became a national park.

7. Hagskogsvägen

Die ganz besondere und schöne Hagskogvägen winds its way from Byxelkrok along the coast and southwards. Entlang des Weges gibt es mehrere schöne Restplätze, unter anderem at Leuchtturm Tokenäs, mit einem fantastischen Blick auf den Kalmar Sound und Blå Jungfrun. After a few kilometers, the road turns 90 degrees into the forest and the landscape changes its complete appearance. Here you hit straight roads that lead you through the lingonberry- and blueberry-rich landscape of Bödaskogen.

Cycling and hiking

Die Wanderwege von Trollskogen Geeignet für Jung und Alt. The 4,8-meter path takes you through the entire Trollwald. The 2,7 km long Weg is suitable for strollers and the 1 km long Weg is barrier-free.

Der Neptune Trail, 15 km long breathtakingly beautiful coastal path, runs through the heart of the verführerischen Hafenstadt Byxelkrok.
