Classic Petra
17/7 Classic PETRA to this year's Ölandsby. Tuesday 17 July Classic PETRA will come to Sweden for a single concert at Klintagården, Köpingsvik.
In Oasen, which holds only 600 people, the artists and the audience come close to each other. Bob Hartman has also promised to replace the electric guitar with an acoustic guitar and make some songs in "unplugged version".
When the legendary PETRA announced their last and final world tour a few years ago, friends and fans all over the world who over four decades have learned to love their heavy and sometimes harsh rock music often intertwined with strong Christian lyrics mourned. The overwhelming demand from their audience and their own indomitable longing to continue playing together got the better of them in the end. In the spring of 2010 they were on stage again under the name Classic PETRA Reunion with classic 80s songs and with singer Greg X. Volz, Bob Hartman on guitar, Mark Kelly on bass, Louie Weaver on drums and John Lawry on keyboards. Once again, people from several generations flocked to their concerts. They recently released a new CD with mostly new material under the title "BACK TO THE ROCK" and are now touring the world again. In July, they give a few concerts in Sweden, Norway and Denmark, which will surely be a fond reunion for many old fans, while many younger people will have the opportunity to meet and get to know some of the icons of Christian music.
