Bjärbybadet
Lovely fine sandy beach with a view of the Baltic Sea.
A fantastically fine sandy beach that stretches as far as the eye can see.
Located on the eastern side of Öland, the beach is surrounded by pasture where both cows and sheep roam. In early summer the fields are filled with poppies which is a beautiful sight to behold.
The water is long and shallow and is also suitable for the slightly younger visitors. A jetty is laid out during summer time. There is a dog bath on the northern part of the beach. Note that there are grazing animals on either side of the beach.
Simpler outhouses are available to the public and sometimes there are also ice cream sales on site.
Next to the beach is the natural campsite Bjärby camping. In simpler conditions, without electricity, you can stand a season or just a night or two. Generally available for house image, caravan and tent.
Maintenance of facilities, camping and road is the responsibility of Runstens Bygdegårdsförening and a fee is charged for driving on the road.
