Beijershamn is a dilapidated harbor construction project that has become a bird's paradise. A total of 250 bird species have been observed here. Primarily, the area is an important resting and nesting area for waders, but ducks, terns and seagulls also nest here. To get to Beijershamn, a detour towards Haga Park is first required. At the intersection between Hagaparksvägen and Beijershamnvägen there is a sign for Beijershamn on the right. In the bird room there are two bird towers, north and south. The southern bird tower is clearly visible from the road. From the parking lot to the south tower, it's a wooden walkway. There is a coffee table by the tower.

In the bird room, there are also hiking trails and an appreciated trail for the disabled as well as hiding places. There is also an information board at the car park. Grazing animals also roam the area.

Beijershamn is also one of Öland's finest butterfly locations. On a narrow strip of dry and open grassland between the coastal meadows and the forest, the lichen day warmer has its only occurrence in the Nordic region. In total, more than 650 of Sweden's 950 butterfly species have been found here. Thanks to the good availability of insects, Beijershamn is also a bat fire dorado. Twelve of Sweden's eighteen species have been found in the area. Rare bats include mustache bat and goblin bat.
