The Bårby marsh
The Bårby marsh covers approximately 20 hectares of wetland and is made up of a mosaic of open water surfaces and overgrown areas. It is easiest to look out over the marsh from the bird tower, which is reached by following the path between the two windmills from the parking pocket on the east side of road 136. It is easiest to look out over the marsh from the bird tower, which is reached by following the path between the two windmills from the parking pocket on the east side of road 136. From the path, it is a steep climb over a deer fence to the birch grove. After that, it is about a 200 meter hike through the grove to the bird tower. The last piece is led forward on a wooden slat. From the bird tower there is a magnificent view of the marsh best seen in spring, from April to early June. There is also the opportunity to have a coffee at the tables that are placed by the windmills along route 136.
