The couple Lena and Mats from Helsingborg had their sights set on an active adventure on Öland. The goal was to create new memories while giving them the opportunity to experience Öland on two wheels. Another important factor was that they would have a minimal impact on the environment. Since Lena and Mats own an electric car, they made a check the electric car map to secure the transport. Lena and Mats then packed up their bikes and steered the car towards Öland for new adventures and memories. The family had booked accommodation in southern Öland, in Stora Frö to be precise.
Before their holiday, they had checked the range of cycle tours on The nature map and found one they both fell for - Icy surf round. The adventure started in Haga park. The first stop was in Beijershamn where they parked their bikes, walked and got to experience a fantastic bird area with incredibly beautiful views. After the stop in Beijershamn, they hopped on the bikes again and the journey continued along the shore where they got to experience fantastic nature, dark blue water, cliffs and magical pine forest. They pass both Eco by Strandnära, a lovely oasis that offers both good coffee, food and accommodation, and Stora Frögården, which in recent years has become famous for its pizzas made in the Neapolitan way, on the way. The couple decide to settle for today's bike ride and once back at their accommodation, Lena and Mats are tired but full of new experiences. The best part is that the journey has just begun as well as the plans for tomorrow's adventure.
